Who we are
E.D.S is a well established marine contractor.
We are underwater engineers, confined space
and marine pollution specialists and pride ourselves
on being able to offer the
technical base, resources and expertise to
provide a high quality, safety conscious and
cost effective service.
We are members of the Association of Diving
Contractors, approved contractors to the
Ministry of Defence, various Utility companies
and are members of Constructionline.
E.D.S has practical experience in all aspects
of marine engineering, whether it is from a boat
or on the seabed we cover all aspects of our
industry.
We offer a wide range of services not just
diving, but mechanical engineering facilities,
coded welders, explosive advice, marine and
civil engineering.
Our equipment register is extensive with
numerous underwater cameras, a highly
capable ROV, ultrasonic thickness monitors,
welding and burning equipment, various boats
and rescue craft.
We have also partnered up with a number of
specialist consultancies for cathodic protection,
structural or diving surveys and have no limits
to where we travel.
Floating Skip
The above photograph is taken on an installation in Blackburn (England) where we piled four main piles into the River Darwen to house a floating skip preventing rubbish and debris which was being illegally dumped, creating damage along the length of the river. As you can see the skip was very successful, its now a case of prosecuting the offending parties when they have their debris returned to them.
We have installed numerous booms on fast flowing rivers, marinas, docks and even golf courses. Our partnership with Oil Pollution Environmental Control (OPEC) has blossomed over the years taking us to the Middle East on a number of occasions. Our engineers have installed fixed equipment for industrial applications and attended emergency spill response.
